It exists to keep neighbors informed about the things that actually affect daily life on these streets — safety notices, local events, weather conditions, and community moments worth knowing.

Published monthly. Every issue is one page. Every word earns its place. If it affects Wildewood, it belongs in the brief. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.

What we track:

  • Local Alerts — Safety notices, road conditions, weather advisories, and anything that requires immediate resident awareness.
  • Need Attention — Infrastructure issues, maintenance concerns, and neighborhood conditions that need eyes on them.
  • Pet Spotlight — Lost pets, found animals, and community pet moments worth sharing.
  • Community Kudos — Neighbor recognition, local wins, and the good stuff that doesn’t get enough airtime.

Independence disclaimer: Wildewood Pulse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of the Wildewood HOA, the board, or property management. Dontreal's Corner

Dontreal’s Corner is written by Dontreal, age 9. He lives in Wildewood and he notices things.

Cars Go Too Fast By My Bus Stop

Every morning I wait at the bus stop on Wildewood Pkwy. Most cars slow down. But some of them don’t. Like, at all. I have to take a big step back sometimes because they go by so fast.

There are signs that say slow down. The lights flash. I don’t know why some people don’t listen to the signs. The signs are right there.

My mom says the enforcement hours are posted now. I hope that helps. I just want to get on the bus without having to jump out of the way.

The Yard Sale Was Actually Pretty Fun

I didn’t think I was going to like the yard sale day but it was actually really fun. We walked around the whole neighborhood and I found a football for two dollars. Two dollars! It’s a good football too.

I also saw a dog I never saw before. His name was Biscuit. The lady said he’s a golden retriever mix. He was really soft.

My mom said we should do it again in the spring. I said yes because maybe I can find more stuff and also maybe Biscuit will be there again.

Rules of engagement

The site works only if it stays disciplined. These standards keep it useful and prevent it from becoming a complaint board or rumor feed.

Posting standards
  • 1Keep it factual. Share what happened, where it happened, and when. Avoid guesses, speculation, or secondhand accusations. If you didn’t witness it directly, say so.
  • 2No naming and shaming. Report the issue, not the person. A broken fence is fair game. Calling out a neighbor by name is not.
  • 3Protect privacy. No personal addresses, phone numbers, children’s information, or identifying details without explicit permission.
  • 4Use consent for photos. If a resident, child, or pet is clearly identifiable in a photo, obtain permission before submitting.
  • 5No official HOA business. No violations, dues disputes, board decisions, or anything that implies Wildewood Pulse speaks for the HOA or property management.
  • 6No political content. Local elections and civic issues are fine. National politics, party affiliation, and divisive political commentary are not.
  • 7No commercial promotion. Garage sales and neighborhood events are welcome. Business advertising, solicitation, and MLM posts are not.
  • 8Moderation stays on. The editor can edit, decline, or remove any submission to preserve accuracy, privacy, and tone. No appeals process.
Launch advice

Do not open public comments on day one.

Use moderated submissions only. That keeps the site useful and lowers the chance of rumor cascades or content you can't defend.

Voice

Neighbor-first. Calm. Specific.

The site should read like a good operations log: direct, clear, useful, and never theatrical.
